Authenticity Consulting, LLC, co-founder, Carter McNamara, MBA, PhD, is an internationally known expert in nonprofit capacity building. He has consulted to 100s of nonprofits, taught numerous courses about nonprofit capacity building, written many major publications about nonprofit capacity building, and trained 100s of nonprofit consultants.

He has 20 years of real-world management experience in a variety of organizations, including startup, public-private, nonprofit and corporate.

Carter holds a BA in Social and Behavioral Sciences, BS in Computer Science, MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and a PhD in Human and Organization Development from The Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ron Bulmer, Associate

Ron BulmerRon Bulmer, BSc, BEd, offers leadership expertise built upon his success as an entrepreneur, educator and community development advocate. Ron helps businesses and non-profit organizations translate opportunities into growth, and coaches leaders to focus on reflection, learning and action to gain insights. Combining collaboration with execution results in maximum benefit for the organization.

Rolfe Larson, MBA, Affiliate

The primary focus of Rolfe's work is earned income ventures and social enterprises. His primary areas of service include:

Examples of the types of industries in which Rolfe has worked include: healthcare, social service, environment, arts, gift shops, coffee shops, music marketing, and nonprofit theaters.

Rolfe is an Adjunct Professor at the Center for Nonprofit Management, College of Business, University of St. Thomas, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the Center, he:

  • Designs curriculum and teaches workshops on social entrepreneurship, including market analysis, business planning and Internet strategies
  • Teaches an MBA course on marketing for nonprofits & service organizations

Rolfe is author of the publication, Venture Forth! The Essential Guide to Starting a Moneymaking Venture in Your Nonprofit Organization, published by Fieldstone Alliance. The book is:

Darralu Lindholm, Affiliate

Darralu has a wide range of experience in grant review and grant making, management of multi-site corporate volunteer and grant-making committees, resource development, marketing, and communications in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She has shared her experience with nonprofits, foundations, and corporations on a local and national levels. Her professional and personal commitments have included:

  • Resource development consultant with nonprofit organizations in integrated development planning, foundation and corporate grant applications, annual campaigns and membership development.
  • Marketing and communications consultant, developing strategies and producing newsletters, annual report, committee guides, newsletters; copy editor and proof reader for graphic design firm.
  • Manager of corporate community affairs committees for a national foundation with offices in multiple cities across the country, preparing and overseeing budgets for each, and training of each committee.
  • Developer of multi-state corporate giving programs, preparing and managing budgets for each site, and training of separate committees.
  • Advisor to national foundations and corporations in reviewing grant requests and developing grant guidelines, and preparing and managing budgets.
  • Program officer with a major foundation headquartered in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.
