Carter McNamara, MBA, PhD, Partner
Authenticity Consulting, LLC, co-founder,
Carter McNamara, MBA, PhD, is a nationally recognized expert
in using peer coaching groups (Action Learning) methods to facilitate
learning and organizational change.
- Carter has helped numerous businesses across the nation to
customize and implement Action Learning programs.
- He has taught 100s of Action Learning facilitators and facilitated
100s of hours of Action Learning groups.
- His doctoral work included use of Action Learning-based approaches
to leadership and management development.
- He has written and spoken nationally about Action Learning-based
programs.
- He is founder and developer of the national, Action Learning-based
Leaders Circles (SM), that now has Action Learning programs
in 10 states.
- He is developer of the Action
Learning Communities Program provided for members by the
American Society for Training and Development -- Southern Minnesota
Chapter.
- He has studied and been trained in a variety of coaching
methods.
- Carter teaches the seminar "Organization Development
and Change" for the Center for Nonprofit Management at the
University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- He also teaches the seminar "OD 101" for the Minnesota
Organization Development Network (MNODN).
- He developed MNODN's OD
Library, one of the world's largest online library's about
organization development and change.
- He sits on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Organization
Development Network and is a member of the American Society for
Training and Development.
- He is founder and developer of the Free
Management Library (SM), one of the
world's largest collections of well-organized, free, on-line
resources for organizations.
- He is founder and developer of the on-line, Free,
Nonprofit Micro-eMBA(SM) and Free
Micro-eMBA(SM).
- He is nationally recognized expert in Founder's
Syndrome, a problem encountered by many organizations across
the world.
- He has written a large number of publications, including

He has 25 years of real-world management experience in a variety
of organizations, including startup, public-private, nonprofit
and corporate.
Carter holds a BA in Social and Behavioral Sciences, BS in
Computer Science, MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and
a PhD in Human and Organization Development from The Union Institute
in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Teri McNamara, Partner
Teri
has strong real-world experience in leadership and management.
- She has been trained as a peer learning program designer
and facilitator.
- She had led many training sessions about peer learning and
participated as a member in many groups.
- Teri is the primary evaluator of all of our firm's peer learning
programs, along with evaluating many of our client's peer learning
programs, as well.
- She has participated in the design and writing of Authenticity's
peer learning publications, and is the lead editor on all publications.
- Teri is also director of all of Authenticity's publications
services.
